If I had a super power, I’d be able to time travel, or fly or just be in three places at once….always feels like I’m missing someone.
But very grateful, it’s Hayden Time! again.
It’s always a long day of flying to cross the country, but everything went smoothly. We even had time to enjoy a beer at New Belgium in the Denver airport between flights.
Oh, our little guy is changing so much! He’s almost 4 months old. So, here’s just some of the 280 photos I took during our 10 day trip.
His smiles make your heart melt!
We never got tired of being with this special little boy!
Oh Hayden…you’re going to have fun with Uncle Luke someday!
Very happy Dad!
Oh how I wished I lived closer…hate missing all he’s learning, the changes happening, & just being around this sweet sweet baby.
Love this rugged Northern California coast & always love visiting the ocean. It was a chilly & windy day, but still so great to be here among the sound of waves & with our family. Luke & Jordan live near the ocean, so we took a long walk today…sunshine & smiles!
Hayden’s first time to the beach.
The Mad River that flows into the Pacific.
A little selfie…happy Grampa & Gki.
Rio…Luke & Jordan’s pup. They’re working hard to get him trained & to trust them (he’s a rescue dog) & all three are doing a great job.
Leia started back to work late one afternoon & Pete wanted to catch a pickle ball game, so we offered to go to the park with him.
I’d met a friend of mine that lives in the area for a beer & a chat this afternoon & then walked to the park to find these two cute guys.
There was this great little swing in the park…it was a bit chilly out, but Hayden looked like he was having fun.
Hayden & his beautiful Mom, Leia
We all took a walk by the river near where Pete lives. Can’t get enough of all the wonderful outdoors here!
Although, one of us dozed a bit during the walk…so sweet!
So, we’re all Russian River fans…as are so many beer geeks. This special once a year release is Pliney the Younger. People stand in line for a long time to get this down in Santa Rosa at the brewery. But Dead Reckoning, my fave beer bar in Arcata, gets a keg of this beer (not too many places do) during the release. Pete had bought us tickets, so the four of us went to imbibe…it was delicious! What good timing to get a chance to have this beer!
It was a yummy triple IPA, but even better when shared with these guys.
In self-feeding mode.
Love these guys & men they’ve become!
Our last little hug & photo before we head back to Florida. (My “eye leakage” had started a bit.) Can’t wait to see this sweet boy & everyone else in April in Las Vegas.
At the airport (it’s very small…a one room waiting room) I spotted several guys with lots of band instruments. The boys & Jordan had been telling me all about the local band “Diggin Dirt” that was playing at their wedding. So, I asked one of them if that’s who they were, & it was! We had some fun conversation while waiting to board our flight to Denver, where they were playing the next day. Won’t be too long before I see them again in June in Lake Tahoe at the wedding!
The view from the plane…such a beautiful part of this gorgeous state!
We had such a great time visiting Hayden, Peter, Leia, Luke & Jordan in California! All of us together shared several meals, lots of laughs, made memories, talked about the upcoming events, & really just enjoyed being together.
Got back home with no airline issues (which is always something to be thankful for). So thankful for my California kids & Hayden…grateful always.
All of us are gearing up & super stoked for a big summer with Luke & Jordans wedding in Lake Tahoe in June…should be a beautiful, fun, & wonderful blast!
PS: Using luggage allowance instead of shipping; When we came out in November, I’d packed a huge suitcase & another small one all filled with Legos…getting all the boys stuff out here to them & out of our small “garage” that’s become our storage (why did I ever buy china? and sooo many photo albums…ugh! Those two things are 80% of my stuff that’s stored). This trip the giant suitcase was filled with Peters Pez collection…about 150 Pez dispensers & lots of other random Pez stuff. We still have an old Nintendo to bring out & some ornaments that belong to the kids…but we’re getting there. But, I always bring home made cookies too!
