just a lot of fun, play, silliness, joy, laughter & hugs!
And so we spent our days just enjoying each other. On days when I just could lay in the floor or sit, the girls hung with me, doing things like playing with their Lego sets, reading or watching Mark Rober videos. I really hate being sick, but being around them definitely made my days & mental health better.
Emma putting the Kiwi Crate together I bought her.
These sisters are very close & love to play together!
We made our traditional stop at Kelly’s one day after school!
Decorating for a mellow dance party….
Surprise balls!
We played mini-golf one day.
Love being silly with these girls!
Both the girls are really good swimmers & will participate in swim team this summer. This pic is taken from one of the Disney waterparks we went to. Unfortunately, I only participated about 1/2 the time we were there…instead was laid out on one of the lounges for a bit…’resting’ (like some wimpy victorian princess….I can’t tell you how much I hate feeling this way!) But, I cherished the other 1/2 of the time I could walk in the Lazy River (how perfect for me right now) & stand in the shallow pool & cheer Claire as she rode one of the big crazy waterslides for the first time & ended up going back to ride it twice more!
Emma is really coming into her own personality. It was funny to hear her argue with her parents (not funny for them) when she was tired & at bedtime. She is a super confident little girl, loves to make new friends, is getting braver & stronger all the time, is funny & creative! She’s not too hard on herself…which I hope that never changes.
Then it was time for me to leave. The Nanny was back from her trip & I was boarding another flight back home. It wasn’t a fun flight, but uneventful & that was good.
Danny & I have a long time trip planned back to the see them in early June…his vacation that’s been planned since last fall. I’ll be happy they’ll be out of school so we get to spend more time with them. And, they miss their Grampa & he feels the same way about them. I am super hopeful I get to go back on that trip.
In the meantime, I have a couple of the tests scheduled which I hope will tell them what is going on with me, but even if it only tells them what it’s not, we need all the pieces of this puzzling health crap to figure it out.
It was great to spend time with Sara….she is digging deep to try to figure this out for me. I had a wonderful, low key time with Emma & Claire! They are bundles of energy, smart, fun & I love love love them so much! Can’t wait to see them again!
